Appraiser Marketing System – NEW & GOOD Appraisal Management Company

posted in Appraiser Marketing |

I have a good AMC for you this week!

This was kind of exciting and I don’t know if it will ever happen again, but maybe it will be the same for you as well!

I live in a fairly saturated market in Southern California. There are tons of appraisers competing for the same work, but at the same time it usually is not all that slow. I do spend a lot of time marketing my services, so when a new AMC pops up, I might be one of the first couple dozen to give them a try.

Well, this was the fastest response I have ever had when signing up to a new appraisal management company. I hope it is a sign of good things to come because they have pretty good fees right off the bat. After the sign up process (which took me a little longer than normal because I was taking my time and busy doing other things) when I finally got all the information in to their system and made sure my profile was set up correctly, I got a NEW FULL FEE appraisal order the very next day!

That was really cool. You should definitely sign up with them and leave a little feedback on this post if you picked up work as well. I am sure they are not going to busy everywhere, but they do have a sharp looking website – other than the ‘Insanely Fast’ appraisals in 3 days banner… I am sure everything is negotiable on more complex appraisals. Make sure you sign up at: AMC Links https://www.amclinks.com/signup/appraiser.php

I will keep you updated on my experience with them. I usually only give the HOT and NEW appraisal management company information to paid customers of my Appraisal Management Company Directory, but I figured this would be a good one to share with the loyal appraisers that continue to receive the Appraiser Marketing System, like you!

If you don’t have a good list and need work RIGHT NOW, bet my directory and the updates that come with it FOR LIFE by visiting http://www.appraisalmanagementcompanies.org.

Now go sign up to AMC Links and I hope you have as good as results as I have.

Thanks again and talk to you soon!

I also got an appraisal from AMC Links this week. The
only problem we had to sign the $250.00 was our reasonable and customary compensation rates. Quess this
sets our fee with this company. We would usually get at lease $300+ in the old days but quess they are gone.
I enjoy your letters and help. Shirley and Husam

Yeah, they usually pay me between $250-$350 depending on complexity. The fees are always negotiable, so don’t forget to ask.

    Thank you for the feedback!

Please note as per prior comments as of April 1, 2011 it is a violation of federal law for amc or lender to require you agree the fee is customary and reasonable. You need to review surveys for your market area and supply the mgt company with your customary and reasonable fees- based on orep, AI, alamode, VA non of the areas are $200 please do not continue to check a box or accept an order where the company is continuing to violate federal law. They may be unaware of this so you assisting them in their compliance would be a good idea for you and for them.

When you let them know, do they adjust the fees accordingly, or just move on to the next appraiser?

$39.00 RUA and $12 AVM….that’s where this profession is heading.
If anyone thinks that a customary and reasonable fee will ever again be $350-$400…well they have lost their minds.
These big banks don’t need us, they will find better and cheaper ways to assess their risk and get it passed into law.
If it doesn’t work, we the taxpayers will bail them out again.
    That’s the cold hard truth.

A fee of $250-$350 based on complexity? How is that full fee? Full fee would be around $300-$400. I won’t leave the house for less than $300 and I’m doing 4-5 appraisals a week, even now with the slowdown. All it takes is picking up the phone and calling from lists of direct lenders, banks, credit unions, etc. Look ’em up on the web and you’ll find them. They’re out there but you have to find them, not the other way around. Let’s not kid ourselves and think that $250 is full fee!! It sounds like the full fee is $500 if you’re getting $250. This is in the San Diego market where you are Bryan.

    Hey Mike,
Thanks for your feedback. What I meant was that in San Diego a $300 fee was customary on easy to appraise properties. I didn’t mind doing appraisals for $250 from time to time for an AMC if it was a very easy assignment. But now with the UAD, I also do not complete any assignments for less than $325 an appraisal. With all the work going in to these assignments, including the additional amount of time required is pushing my fee up into the $350.00 average fee for an AMC.

    Thanks again for the input!
