There are two vacancies for this position — one in Washington, DC; and one in St. Louis, MO.
The Office of Housing provides vital public services through its nationally administered programs. It oversees the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), the largest mortgage insurer in the world, and regulates important parts of the housing industry. The Office of Housing also helps ensure consumers can access housing counseling and provides affordable rental housing through its Multifamily housing program. The mission of HUD’s Office of Housing Counseling is to provide individuals and families with the knowledge they need to obtain, sustain, and improve their housing. OHC accomplishes this mission by supporting a strong national network of HUD-approved housing counseling agencies and housing counselors.
Responsibilities
As an Appraiser, you will:-Review and perform appraisals for insured health care facility and capital advance projects.
-Serve as a technical expert and authority on appraisals and program policy, and develop programmatic guidelines, policies, and procedures related to the HUD mortgage insurance program for health care facilities.
-Collect and analyze all appraisal data necessary for the evaluation of health care facilities.
-Review and analyze preliminary project information, attend pre-application meetings, prepare economic market analysis for proposed and existing health care facility projects, initiate and prepare normal and special environmental clearances, prepare environmental impact statements, conduct site approvals, and perform special assignments.- Required Documents
