This is a great way to find local contacts and to network with other professionals. You can also find old colleagues and friends and those that you have done business with in the past.
One of the best features that I have found is that by adding some key people in to your network, you can easily get hold of presidents and CEOs of the companies you are interested in doing work with. You can also directly contact people and let them know what you think… (of their appraisal management companies) 🙂
I have not only received helped in getting signed up with companies, lawyers and attorneys from LinkedIn, but I have also used it to network with other appraisers and to share information and advice on everything pertaining to the appraisal industry.
There are a lot of great groups on LinkedIn where you can become more involved with those that are working to improve the industry. We can hope for the best, but it feels even better to get involved.
If you want to use it primarily for marketing purposes, just make sure your profile is 100% complete and include all the information on your services and service area using city names. This way people can find you when they are looking for an appraiser in your area.
It doesn’t take too long to fill out and will help give your website and company more authority when the search engines find you on the biggest professional network online.
Start off by adding me to your list, I have a lot of professionals in my network that are constantly looking for good appraisers.
