The Busy Appraiser 12 – Lots of appraisal work

In this episode I talk a little about how busy I have been doing appraisals. It really seems to be out of control right now in San Diego with the majority of work for refinance work.

I am also doing quite a bit of estate work that I get off of my appraiser website. I believe some tax laws have recently changed so I have been doing quite a bit of multi-property estate appraisals as well as some very high end properties.

I also mention the new product that I recently created about getting more work and more money from appraisal management companies.

The biggest tip I have here is that you should counter offer ALL appraisals that you do not feel you are getting enough to complete. I have found that I am making much more money and doing far less work on appraisals that might have paid less in the past.

Please give it a try, I am sure you will be happy with your results as long as you are working with a number of appraisal management companies.

The Busy Appraiser #6 – Rolatape Measurer

In this podcast I talk a little about my current appraisal assignment and some excellent tools I use to measure out properties.

In this episode I talk about a super time saving piece of software that I have been using. It has been about a month and I am loving it! It cuts a ton of time off my appraisal report typing by putting in all my subject and comparable information as well as helping to complete the 1004MC and REO Addendum.

Places to get your company listed

There are numerous places you can go to get your appraisal business listed. I decided for my 5th appraiser podcast to list some of the primary ones I use.

The more marketing you can do for your business, the more orders you will get. Also, by submitting your website information whenever possible, it will greatly increase your chances of your website showing up on the first page of google results, which is what you should aspire for!

The Busy Appraiser Podcast #3 – Getting Ready

Well, it is a new year and a great time to submit to the Appraisal Management companies. I do it all the time, most likely 1 or 2 a week at this point.

If you don’t have many appraisal requests and want to get a jump start on the new year to ensure you will be getting the most orders as possible for 2011, I suggest you get organized and start submitting your applications to the appraisal management companies.
